2024 Students’ Union election candidates announced 

The campaigning period for candidates will begin February 26 at 9:00 a.m..

On February 16, the candidates for the University of Alberta Students’ Union (UASU) 2024 general election were announced at the all-candidates’ meeting.

The UASU elections committee has extended the nomination deadline for the Board of Governors (BoG) representative and vice-president (external) positions to February 20, or until both positions are contested.

The scheduled forums are:

  • Augustana Campus Forum: February 27 at 6:30 p.m. on Augustana campus.
  • Campus Saint-Jean (CSJ) Forum: February 28 at 1:00 p.m. on CSJ campus.
  • International Students’ Association (ISA) Forum: February 29, at 3:00 p.m. in the Orion Room in the Students’ Union Building (SUB).
  • Indigenous Students’ Union (ISU) Forum: March 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the ISU lounge.
  • Myer Horowitz Forum: March 4, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Horowitz Theatre (HT).
  • Presidential Debate: March 4 at the end of the Myer Horowitz forum, in the HT.

All forums held in-person will also be accessible virtually.

The campaign period for candidates will begin February 26 at 9:00 a.m.. Voting will start on March 6 at 9:00 a.m. and end on March 7 at 6:00 p.m..

Elections’ results will be announced on March 7 at 9:00 p.m..
