2022 Board of Governors replenishment election candidates announced

This replenishment election will select an interim Board of Governors representative to serve for the remainder of the term.

The candidates for the Board of Governors (BoG) replenishment election were announced at the first all-candidates’ meeting on January 20.

Due to the resignation of Dave Konrad, the previous BoG representative, this replenishment election will select an interim representative to serve for the remainder of the 2021-22 term. Replenishment elections differ from general elections and by-elections, where students directly elect their representatives. According to Students’ Union bylaws, since the resignation was after September 1, the Students’ Council is responsible for appointing an interim representative.

All BoG candidates will be interviewed by the members of the Students’ Union Council at the January 25 Students’ Council meeting. Councillors and executives will be given the opportunity ask questions regarding the candidate’s experiences and plans. Voting will take place after all interviews are concluded.

Voting members of Students’ Council will elect the interim BoG representative on January 25 through a preferential ballot election.

Board of Governors representative candidates:

  • Adrian Wattamaniuk
  • Chris Beasley
  • Daniela Carbajal
  • Haruun Ali
