Spill the Tea: DavidsTea Forever Nuts

DavidsTea's Forever Nuts is aromatic, but lacking in flavour

Forever Nuts from DavidsTea exudes a wonderful, nutty aroma, but lacks a strong flavour.

I’m not a huge fan of herbal tea, so I don’t buy herbal teas, but I will drink it when offered. For Christmas, I received this tea from a friend, leading me to try this nutty creation.

Right when you open the box, the sweet aroma of almonds hits your nose. The tea reminds me of the fall season. Even after you brew it, your entire house would smell refreshingly sweet and autumnal.

The tea contains almond slices, apple bits, cinnamon and hints of beetroot. According to their website, the tea should turn a shade of pink, but the cup I was using was too dark for me to notice any noticeable colour.

However, the taste is rather lacking. There isn’t a distinct or strong flavour. I could not taste any apple, cinnamon or anything spiced. To me, it tasted more like plain water with almonds. This could also mean that the tea needs to be steeped longer than usual for there to be a discernible taste.

Herbal teas are caffeine-free, so this could be something to drink during relaxing or unwinding moments, like reading a book or taking a bath.

Nevertheless, DavidsTea’s Forever Nuts leaves me wanting more, but I will finish the box of tea, I just wouldn’t repurchase it.
