What: Butterdome Craft Sale
When: May 2 – 4
Where: Universiade Pavilion (Butterdome)
Admission: $5 for U of A students with valid I.D.

The Butterdome Craft Sale is back for its spring sale! Running since 1990, this market is a staple for shopping local and hand-made. There are dozens of different types of goods, from body care to woodcraft to food and drink. With so many options to choose from, make sure to check out the wonderful goods at the Butterdome Craft Sale.

What: Edmonton Indie Bookstore Extravaganza
When: April 26 – 27
Where: Various locations
Admission: Free

This is the second year of the Edmonton Indie Bookstore Extravaganza which is in celebration of Canadian Independent Bookstore Day (CIBD). For this extravaganza there are 20 bookstores participating across Edmonton, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, and pop-up bookstores. For this event, make sure to pick up a passport from any bookstore and collect stamps from each location you visit along the way. At the end you tally up your points and enter to win a prize!

What: Friday Night Trivia
When: April 25 at 7:00 p.m..
Where: TELUS World of Science
Admission: Free (reservation required)

Every Friday night the TELUS World of Science hosts a trivia night, with questions covering a range of topics — sports, pop culture, science, music and more. Are you a trivia fiend who wants to show off your knowledge? Or are you and your friends looking for a new way to spend your Friday night? Either way, head over to the TELUS World of Science to join.

What: Spring Fling: A Night of Songs
When: April 23 at 7:15 p.m..
Where: Metro Cinema
Admission: $20

Spring Fling is a performance hosted by The Vox Collective — a new community choir based in Edmonton. Spring Fling showcases the talents of the members of The Vox Collective, with the ticket proceeds supporting The Pride Centre of Edmonton. Featuring special guests Halfway Home, John Hewitt, and Riwo, this is a can’t-miss event!

What: Stag and Doe
When: April 23 – May 3
Where: Walterdale Theatre
Admission: $27.40

The newest production of the Walterdale Theatre’s 65th season, Stag and Doe, is premiering today! Stag and Doe follows Bonnie and Brad, who are throwing a party in preparation for their upcoming wedding. From wedding guests with emotional baggage, to catering staff getting thrown in jail, this play set in a Canadian small town “shines a light on the nature of love, marriage, and weddings.” On April 24 there is two-for-one night pricing (only available at the door) and on April 30 it is pay-what-you-will.
