Photostory: Edmonton Folk Music Festival 2026

Another year of the Edmonton Folk Music Festival brought 60 artists from across Canada, and the world, to perform in our beloved city.

The Edmonton Folk Music Festival pulled off a miraculous feat this year: avoiding the rain. From August 6 to 9, the festival took over Gallagher Park to keep the folk fest tradition going. The crews worked hard to prepare the already wet grounds for four days of concerts and workshops. Thousands of volunteers kept things running smoothly through rain and mud while 60 artists played shows across the seven stages.

Some of the biggest names this year were Tia Wood, The Womack Sisters, Of Monsters and Men, Nathaniel Rateliff, Thee Sacred Souls, and Arrested Development. There were plenty of Canadian artists alongside some from Ireland, Iceland, Niger, and Malawi.
