Premier Kason Jenney banned from the Legislature
Sources say he was being a “very naughty boy”
Premier Kason Jenney has been banned from the Legislature for one day for poor conduct.
The Speaker of the Legislature made the decision after noticing Jenney was shooting spitballs across the aisle at the official opposition, as well as sticking his tongue out at them every time they stood to speak about the various cuts the provincial government has made to areas like post-secondary education.
In response, the Speaker immediately took action.
“You are being a very naughty boy, Mr. Jenney,” the Speaker said. “I am putting you in time-out so that you can go and think about what you’ve done!”
At hearing this ultimatum, Jenney jumped onto the bench and began to throw a temper tantrum, kicking papers and documents into the air and screaming wildly about “how unfair this treatment was.” Security then forcefully escorted Jenney from the floor of the legislature, while he kicked and screamed all the way to the front steps of the building.
Local Edmontonian Wally Woops, who witnessed Jenney’s removal from the Legislature, told The Getaway that the action taken “was pretty cool” and “based.”
“Finally, we get to see some decorum in da leg, babeyyyyy!!!” he said.
Jenney refused to comment on the matter, calling The Getaway a “communist rag.”
