DatApp: Plant Nanny
Keeping track of your water intake has gotten easier with this app!
As a student, it has been quite difficult to find some time for self-care. I frequently get caught up with school work and extracurricular activities. As a result, I don’t always make the best choices for my health, especially when it comes to drinking water. I recently re-downloaded an old app, Plant Nanny, which I use to help me with water intake.
If you’ve never used Plant Nanny before, it’s an app that tracks your water intake with an adorable twist. You are given a little plant that you have to take care of. The more water you log throughout the day, the more your plant grows and evolves. However, if you don’t keep up with your daily water goal, your plant starts to die.
The app itself is pretty easy to use. When you first set it up, the app asks you your weight and activity level. Based on that information, it gives you a recommended goal that you much reach to keep your plant (and you) happy and healthy.
The one thing I disliked about this app is that you can’t fully customize your water intake. For example, my Hydro Flask holds about 946 milliliters of water. However, because there are set numbers that I have to choose from, I can either say I’ve drank 900 or 950 milliliters.
Despite this downside, I still love using this app. It’s super cute, and I would recommend it to anyone that needs help with drinking enough water.
