I play in a historical reenactment group called the Society for Creative Anachronism. What I’m wearing today is a mixture of my sport combat equipment (helmet, arm armour, gloves, coat), and the rest are dress clothes from the 10th century. I’m dressed today as what a typical Anglo-Saxon soldier from the Battle of Hastings might look like, with a much fancier helmet because I like my brain more than those soldiers did.
