What: Terror

Where: The Starlite Room

Los Angeles hardcore veterans, Terror, are playing the Starlite Room with Combust this month. Terror’s known for putting on a great show, and Combust just released a new record which surely is on the set list. Go mosh and listen to some good hardcore while it’s in town.
What: Yukon Blonde show

Where: Double Dragon

Kelowna’s Yukon Blonde is playing one of Edmonton’s coolest back alley venues, Double Dragon. Coming off the release of their new record, Friendship & Rock ‘n’ Roll, the new set list is definitely worth checking out. It’s pretty likely they’ll play some of their classics too.
What: Pride vs Prejudice: The Delwin Vriend Story
When: October 16
Where: The Royal Alberta Museum
Admission: $21
With October being queer history month, the Royal Alberta Museum is screening Pride vs Prejudice. The film follows a teacher who was fired from his job at King’s College in Edmonton, which led “the Supreme Court to take up the issue of sexual orientation as a human right.” There’s also going to be a drag performance and a question and answer with the director after the screening.

Where: The Grindstone Theatre

Catch some Dungeons and Dragons themed improve at the Grindstone Theatre. yegDND is set to have a giant twenty sided dice, dragons, monsters and combat. If you missed them at the Fringe Festival, now’s your chance to catch them.

Fort Edmonton Park’s annual Halloween festival is back. And, it has one new haunt. Between October 3 and November 1, go try some food and drinks in between moving through the park’s four scary experiences.
