What: Freewill Shakespeare Festival
When: Until July 20
Where: Louise McKinney Riverfront Park – 9999 Grierson Hill NW
Admission: $35 but some nights are pay-as-you-will

The Freewill Shakespeare Festival has productions of classic William Shakespeare plays for everyone. And that means anyone. This year, the mainstage show is called As You Like It. The play follows many characters through a forest where “trees whisper secrets and love grows wild.”

Where: Alberta Aviation Museum
Admission: $25

On July 25, the Alberta Aviation Museum is having an adults only takeover. For $25, check out some planes, have some drinks, try some food trucks, and do some dancing.

What: Weekends at Rutherford House
When: July 19 – 20
Where: Rutherford House – 11153 Saskatchewan Dr
Admission: $6 for students or free for evacuees of wildfires

Check out the Rutherford House on the University of Alberta’s campus for some lemonade and some lawn games. With all the nice weather, it’s surely something to check out.

What: Morning Coyote with Midnight Diner, Pleasurecraft, The Cheeks, Pails/Buckets & Right to Roam
When: July 25
Where: The Starlite Room
Admission: $17.72

Check out Edmonton based Morning Coyote headlining the Starlite Room. Mellow out with the headliner and wild out with bands like The Cheeks, who’s front man says plays the fastest blues in the city. Support some local talent.

What: Taste of Edmonton When: July 17 – 27
Where: Sir Winston Churchill Square
Admission: $69.50 for a sheet of 40 tickets

Taste of Edmonton is back this summer. Check out some new foods, enjoy the weather, and enjoy some live music. With over 50 restaurants and food trucks to try, and Trooper headlining on July 26, this year’s taste of Edmonton isn’t something to miss.
