Mayoral Election 2021 Meet the Candidates: Augustine Marah

The Gateway reached out to Augustine Marah's team for an interview, but the Marah campaign team did not respond to our requests.

Mayoral Election 2021 Meet the Candidates is The Gateway’s series of interviews with candidates running in Edmonton’s mayoral race. This is the seventh of eight articles.

After moving to Edmonton from Sierra Leone in 1981, Augustine Marah became an educator, teaching in elementary, junior high, and high schools, as well as in universities. He is the founder of the community youth enhancement program Canadian Rainbow Educational and Community Services (CRECS).

The Gateway reached out twice to Marah’s team for an in-person or virtual interview, but the Marah campaign team did not respond to our requests.

Initially, The Gateway reached out to Marah’s team on September 24 via email, requesting an interview with the candidate. After no response, The Gateway followed up on October 4 via the contact form on Marah’s website, but did not receive a response.
