Spill the Tea: Acquired Taste’s Ceylon Chai

Ceylon Chai is perfect for mornings!

Acquired Taste’s Ceylon Chai is simple in taste yet perfect for early mornings, giving you the energy you need without making you feel bloated.

Acquired Taste’s Ceylon Chai is a type of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) black tea that is mixed with cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, anise star, peppercorns, orange peel, coriander seeds, nutmeg, and natural vanilla. All the ingredients blend together quite nicely with none of them overpowering each other. I do wish there was a bit more cinnamon, but cinnamon can always be added.

Although the tea contains many ingredients, the tea doesn’t release any strong or notable scents. That’s not to say the tea doesn’t smell nice, it’s just a rather light scent.

Since the chai contains black tea, there is a small amount of caffeine. Compared to other teas that can make you bloated, Ceylon Chai is perfect for busy mornings, giving you the energy you need without making you sluggish.

Even though I prefer no milk in my tea, Chai teas are usually good with milk, including this one. Chai teas are not too sweet and not too bitter either. They often please both black-coffee connoisseurs and ultra-sweet frappuccino lovers.

Ceylon Chai is one of the teas that I stock up on whenever I go to Acquired Taste, and you should too!
