Photostory: The Pride Soirée Fashion Show

The Pride Soirée Fashion Show had some insanely good looks, music, and dancing.

The first annual Pride Soirée Fashion show, held on June 14, was a great showcase of Edmonton creative talent. Organized by People Helping People, the event began with MERON singing a few songs, and then a wildly great drag performance. The show then began, and was a great display of local talent in the fashion industry.

Off her debut single release in May, MERON came out to perform a few songs to start off the fashion show. “Events like this are essential for Edmonton creatives and the LGBTQIA+ community. And I’m very grateful just to have the opportunity to show my love and appreciation for the community.”

Fran Dresser, the drag queen who set the mood for the fashion show, also walked, and was a designer for the event. Her designer brand is Gayyybriel. She said it was “an honour” to be apart of this event and to have a chance to celebrate the community.
