What: Brother Rat

Looking for a play that combines punk-rock and compelling storylines? Brother Rat follows the lives of the fictional band Theresa Give Me That Knife during their show in Edmonton. The play explores “the triumphs and pitfalls of our mental wellness system.” The theatre also has an “offer what you will” price.
What: OddBird Art & Craft Fair

It’s time to start thinking about that time of year again — Christmas shopping. Whether you look forward to it, or dread it, there is no better time to start than now. The OddBird Art & Craft Fair is having a two-weekend-long market with over multiple vendors. With everything from artwork to ceramics, there is sure to be enough to start checking off your shopping list.
What: OUTlaw’s Drag Brunch

Live on or close to campus and want a lively way to spend your Saturday morning? Dewey’s is hosting a drag brunch featuring local talents Karly Klimax and Stretcher Hymen. Breakfast will be a buffet-style brunch, with the drag performances happening afterwards. Head on over to Dewey’s for this can’t-miss event!
What: Sketch Night – Christmas Card Making
When: November 26 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..
Where: The Carrot Community Arts Coffee House
Admission: Free
Established by Arts on the Ave, The Carrot is both a coffee house and a place that promotes arts and creativity. They have weekly events like open mics and workshops. This upcoming Tuesday they are hosting a sketch night, focused on making your own Christmas cards! Supplies are provided, and it’s the perfect way to make gifts for your friends and family free of cost.

Where: FAB gallery

The newest exhibit from the Fine Arts Building (FAB) gallery is on display. This Show is Trash, by Tanya Klimp and Darcy Fraser MacDonald, explores waste and the implications of discarded packaging. Klimp is a Master’s in Fine Arts painting candidate. Her paintings have been exhibited across Canada and the United States. Fraser MacDonald is currently a Master’s in Fine Arts student at the University of Alberta.
